Each year, Inside the Vatican magazine chooses 10 people to recognize as our "Top Ten" people of the year just past. In December, 2014, among them they chose the founder of St. Clement's Center and the director of the "Spirit and Letter" Research and Publishing Association Constantin Sigov (see his profile from the magazine below). Congratulations!

Dear friends!
CHRIST IS RISEN!

Wholeheartedly we congratulate you on the Feast of feasts –
Christ’s Resurrection from the dead!
Already here, on earth, Easter frees us from slavery and fear.
Easter gives us wise hope in our resurrection and eternal life.
Easter brings us perfect communion in Christ’s love.

Orthodoxy in Ukraine

On the 25th of January the situation in Kiev was very difficult. Over night, clashes with police on Hrushevskoho Street flared at times but both sides held their positions and by 5 a.m. a temporary truce was made. However, the truce did not last long and by 10:30 a.m. fighting broke out. Fires from burning tires stretched 70 meters across the street, and flames five meters high divided the sides. Many people spoke of the possibility of declaring state of emergency.

The same day, members of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations held a meeting with the leaders of the Ukrainian opposition Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Vitali Klitschko and Oleg Tyagnibok. The main mission of the Council was to initiate a peaceful and constructive dialogue between them and the President.
